A Pizza Hut location in the SouthNew Jerseyseems to have remained stuck in the 90s, featuring retro interior design and a unique selection of the chain’s popular buffet.

Entering Pizza Hut in Egg Harbor Township might make you feel like you’ve traveled back in time, thanks to the traditional red and white checked tablecloths, a Pac-Man arcade machine, and the $9.99 all-you-can-eat meal.

However, the pizzeria was not precisely stuck in time. According toNJ.com, the restaurant temporarily shut its doors in 2025 for a nostalgic renovation.

In early 2026, the Egg Harbor branch resumed operations with its updated retro style, featuring its iconic red plastic cups and Tiffany chandeliers.

However, what fans of Pizza Hut may value most about the vintage store is the buffet costing less than $10, offered every day from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm.

The unlimited meal option includes pizzas, pasta, breadsticks, and cinnamon sticks.

‘Reintroducing all the beloved Pizza Hut flavors you cherished…one slice at a time,’ stated PCF Restaurants, an independent Pizza Hut Inc. franchisee that took over multiple outlets in 2017.

Consumers can look forward to witnessing an increase in the appearance of nostalgic eateries throughout the nation.

Tim Sparks, the head of Daland Corporation, an independent Pizza Hut Inc. franchisee, is reviving the look of several of the more than 80 pizza restaurants the company owns, as reported inPeople.

“Our traditional restaurants aim to recreate the nostalgic Pizza Hut atmosphere from the 1980s and 1990s,” Sparks said to People.

Sparks Company currently operates 38 locations, but he mentioned that they are considering renovating an additional 12.

In an interview with CBS, he added more about the positive impact of the retro design on his business: “People travel two or three hours to come here, and I’m not exaggerating,” Sparks mentioned.

If we manage to bring them in here as a family, they usually stop using their phones and start having real conversations with one another.

In addition to its cuisine and interior design, Pizza Hut introduced a new version of its BOOK IT! initiative, designed to encourage children to read during the summer by achieving their reading targets in return for pizza.

As reported by the LA Times, in 1985, the year following the program’s initiation, over 7 million children in grades 1 to 6 took part and received free pizza by reading.

The new brand image seems to have been positively received by clients, who expressed their happiness at experiencing a touch of nostalgia.

There’s a single [retro Pizza Hut] in Virginia that has cups and a bar. I was on vacation and took my son there. We had a great time! It was a wonderful father-son memory from last year!

Another addition: “It’s about time. Bring it back the way it was, and I might actually start going there again.”

A third person added: ‘I really enjoyed Pizza Hut’s buffets, they were excellent. It would be nice to have them back.’
