Nigerian billionaire, lawyer and senator Ned Nwoko’s village home in Uboku, Aniocha North LGA, Delta State, is turning heads online after a walking tour of the sprawling compound went viral on YouTube.

The footage, captured by a two-person crew from Cot TV, reveals an extraordinary estate that doubles as a tourist centre, drawing visitors from across Nigeria to witness what many are calling one of the most unusual private homes on the continent.

What’s inside Ned Nwoko’s Uboku mansion looks like

The compound is far from a conventional Nigerian village home. Constructed almost entirely from mud, the estate incorporates a water fountain, an Egyptian-style pyramid, underground tunnels, a mosque, a four-storey tower, a golf course, a swimming pool and a zoo.

Despite the ancient construction techniques, the guide on the tour confirmed that a thin layer of cement was applied to reinforce the structure, while keeping the traditional aesthetic intact.

Inside the cultural section of the resort, four distinct palace settings greet visitors: English, Arabic, Moroccan and Igbo-style “anya palo,” which is locally referred to as “awa” by Delta people.

The Moroccan wing is the most striking, featuring ornate chairs and a handcrafted wooden canopy reportedly imported directly from the palace of Morocco, purchased at auction.

Craftsmen spent three years completing the canopy by hand, with no formal training and no nails used in its construction.

A “magic box” and mirror displayed in one section were described by the tour guide as objects capable of showing a visitor their future, though he noted only the senator’s representative could operate them.

Atop the four-storey tower, visitors get a panoramic view of the compound, including a private sports university Nwoko built just beside his residence, complete with a snooker room, table tennis, tennis courts and an Olympic-sized swimming pool.

Regina Daniels’ presence noted inside the home

Several photographs displayed on the walls of the mansion caught the camera crew’s attention, including images of Nwoko with his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, alongside his children and other family members.

The sighting of the couple’s photos together is notable given recent reports that the two had reconciled following speculation about trouble in their marriage. The pair were reportedly photographed together in September 2026.

Nwoko, who built his reputation as a renowned international lawyer based in London before entering politics, reportedly made a deliberate choice to use mud construction so the estate would reflect African heritage while remaining commercially viable as a tourist attraction.

Every decorative item inside was reportedly purchased at auction.
