The 180-year-old Rosemont is one of Adelaide’s most historic pubs, located in the West End of Hindley Street, a well-known area for nightlife.
The incident happened just three months after the pub reopened following its first closure since 2024, after new owner Glenn O’Rourke invested $500,000 in an initial renovation phase.
In August, Mr O’Rourke stated: ‘The Rosemont is one of Adelaide’s iconic pubs. It’s been part of the city’s history since 1846 and deserved a new chapter.’
He stated that bringing the Rosemont back to its former splendour would contribute to ‘reinvigorating the West End of Hindley Street and establishing a space that unites people through exceptional dining, live sports, live music, and authentic hospitality’.
Mr O’Rourke was approached for a response but chose not to comment, citing the ongoing police investigation.
