Pakistan, Oct. 10 — The movie Frankenstein, adapted from the renowned novel by Mary Shelley, received acclaim after its public debut on August 30, 2025, at the Venice International Film Festival.
Guillermo del Toro, the Academy Award-winning filmmaker, seems to be seeking recognition for his hard work and visual craftsmanship.
Nevertheless, several intriguing details have emerged about the horror sci-fi following the screening, such as a lavish element that offers greater security than many celebrities on the set.
The Vice President of Tiffany and Co, Christopher Young, revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that the 2025 film featured the Wade Necklace, which was designed by the company in 1900. Additionally, Jeptha Homer Wade II had the necklace created with approximately “40 carats of old mine-cut diamonds” for his wife, Ellen Garretson Wade, a philanthropist and prominent Cleveland socialite. Christopher mentioned that the Wade necklace “fits her perfectly” without any modifications after Mia Goth was cast to play Elizabeth in the upcoming movie.
He mentioned that the actress sat “in a different way,” and the diamonds “shone in a unique manner” as Guillermo used “candlelight” rather than artificial elements for the scene. The highly anticipated film, featuring performances by Oscar Isaac and Jacob Elordi, is expected to debut in theaters on October 17 for a limited time before premiering on Netflix on November 7.
At the start of this month, Jacob Elordi, in the new movie Frankenstein, underwent a transformation using prosthetics.
Australian actor Jacob Elordi is portraying the role in Guillermo del Toro’s version of Frankenstein. Guillermo del Toro shared details about Jacob Elordi’s extended preparation to embody the character. In an interview with E! News’ Francesca Amiker on October 6 during the Los Angeles premiere of the movie, Guillermo del Toro stated, “He spent approximately 10 hours each day.”
Guillermo del Toro added that he utilized approximately 42 items of makeup and prosthetics, and he plans to keep working on his projects.
