The Africa Tech Alliance Excellence (ATAEx) Awards will once more highlight the pioneers, creators, and entities shaping Africa’s technological future. As part of the yearly AfriTECH 5.0 conference, the ATAEx Awards seek to recognize outstanding achievements in digital transformation, leadership, influence, and creativity within the continent’s expanding tech environment.

The ATAEx Awards recognise merit and measurable impact, recipients are evaluated not solely based on ambition but also on tangible results: the way technology has been utilized to promote inclusion, drive growth, ensure sovereignty, or bring about transformation.

Speaking before the ceremony, which is scheduled as part of the programs forAfriTECH 5.0, Mr. Chike Onwuegbuchi, co-organizer of AfriTECH stated that each category is intended to representA crucial aspect of Africa’s technological development“from new companies to well-known organizations, from software advancements to physical systems, from security to data storage facilities”.

Candidates are typically individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, creativity, or tangible influence within Africa’s tech industry. The winners will be revealed at the AfriTECH 5.0 gathering on November 13, 2025, in Lagos,” he mentioned.

The current edition includes a broader range of categories that honor outstanding achievements in fintech, telecommunications, digital infrastructure, sustainability, startups, policy leadership, and inclusivity.

The categories aim to highlight the pioneers and innovators influencing Africa’s digital landscape, including groundbreaking public organizations, forward-thinking private companies, and creative individuals advancing development throughout the continent.
