Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Electric Power Development (J-POWER) are discussing the transfer of MHI’s local onshore wind energy operations to J-POWER.
The firms plan to finalize the transfer by April 1, 2026, after signing a formal agreement.
MHI brings 40 years of experience in wind turbine technology, having begun producing large-scale turbines during the 1980s.
MHI has supplied more than 4,200 turbines to 11 nations, mainly in North America and Japan, and continues to offer post-sale support.
