An e-commerce platform driven by artificial intelligence, Stitches Africa, launched its mobile application in Lagos on Friday, aiming to advance African fashion on an international scale.
The company’s co-founder, Mr. Franklyn Peters, informed reporters in Lagos that the platform links African designers and tailors with customers globally, offering exposure and entry into new markets.
Peters mentioned that the innovation would especially help millions of Africans living abroad who are looking for genuine, tailored African clothing.
He observed that the launch highlighted the increasing worldwide interest in African fashion, mentioning that users could reach the platform throughwww.stitchesafrica.comto encounter the finest artistry on the continent.
“Thanks to its AI-powered body measurement system, users can now create precise digital measurements for custom-fitted clothing no matter where they are globally,” he stated.
As per his statement, the platform provides a smooth shopping process for custom-made and pre-made items crafted by authenticated African designers.
He added that the application also enables designers to generate income in foreign currency and gain access to possible funding via collaborations.
Stitches Africa also revealed a 50 million US dollar financial initiative aimed at facilitating market growth, funding for merchant production, development of logistics, and expansion of the product range.
The financing is being managed by JF Advisory Group, with Cedrus Trustees Ltd acting as custodian and transaction trustee, according to Joy Oikeh, Head of Marketing.
She mentioned that the investment would help Stitches Africa expand its activities into global markets, while offering financial assistance and support to designers and fashion entrepreneurs in its network.
Oikeh mentioned that the collaboration involves organized financial support for logistics infrastructure to enhance distribution and access to cross-border markets.
The Head of Legal, Ms. Ntishorkara Monkom, stated that the initiative symbolizes “the future of African fashion commerce, one that empowers artists, enhances value chains, and links African creativity to international markets.”
She mentioned that the funding also demonstrated investor trust in Stitches Africa’s business approach and the expansion prospects of the African fashion sector.
