Selangor FC has received a penalty of 100,000 Malaysian ringgit (US$24,200) and been required to host two home games without spectators due to fan aggression, improper behavior by VIPs, property damage, and failure in management.

Footage from the incident spread online, capturing smoke from fireworks, damaged seats, and confrontations among supporters. One video, which sparked public anger, reportedly depicted a beverage container being thrown from a VIP section.
