Sustainable living is transitioning from awareness to daily practice within residential communities in Thailand, as a new project urges households to manage electronic waste responsibly and contribute locally. A significant partnership between Plus Property Company Limited and True Corporation Public Company Limited has introduced the ‘Plus Kor Kan Dee – e-Waste TinkTookTee DTorJai’ initiative to encourage proper handling of e-waste, improve living standards in property developments, and encourage residents to actively participate in generating beneficial social and environmental outcomes.

The collaboration leverages the capabilities of both entities. PLUS utilizes its knowledge as a property management expert managing initiatives that support approximately 100,000 families across the country, whereas True Corporation offers its guidance in telecommunications and technology, along with its well-known ‘e-Waste TinkTookTee DTorJai’ initiative. Combined, this partnership makes environmental responsibility more approachable and smoothly incorporates it into residents’ everyday routines.

Suwannee Mahanarongchai, the Managing Director of Plus Property Company Limited, stated that PLUS functions within a sustainability model that emphasizes all three ESG aspects—Environmental, Social, and Governance. This dedication is evident in the company’s ‘Quality of Life and Well-being’ approach, which includes environmental stewardship, community support, initiatives for health and wellness, fostering intergenerational harmony, and encouragement of continuous learning.

Expanding upon these initiatives, the project invites locals to deliver electronic waste to specific collection centers, guaranteeing organized management and recycling. Every piece of e-waste is worth one baht, with all funds contributed to schools in the nearby area.

Naruemon Arporntanakul, Deputy Managing Director of the Property Management Division, stated that the partnership enhances residential communities by allowing residents to take care of the environment while supporting local initiatives through daily activities. E-waste collection points backed by True Corporation have been set up at 85 projects managed by PLUS, making waste disposal more accessible. She mentioned that PLUS intends to broaden the program through knowledge exchange and ongoing activities, such as educational trips about e-waste and environmental awareness for youth, along with other community efforts like urban farming and neighborhood clean-ups under the ‘Plus Kor Kan Dee’ initiative.

Pakpong Akaniwan, Deputy Chief and Head of Online and Convergence at True Corporation Plc., highlighted that digital technology has become essential in modern homes, ranging from home internet and smart devices to digital platforms that improve everyday life. In addition to connectivity services, True strives to be a telecom-tech company that provides impactful digital experiences while being mindful of environmental effects. He mentioned that the partnership with Plus Property demonstrates True’s dedication to responsible technology use and effective e-waste recycling, contributing to the development of a sustainable digital society.

Naetchanok Wipatasinlapin, Head of the Sustainability Division at True Corporation Plc., stated that the company is dedicated to sustainable development and acknowledges e-waste as an increasing global issue that demands joint efforts. True has improved its ‘e-Waste TinkTookTee DTorJai’ program by introducing mobile and on-site collection services and has broadened its partnership with Plus Property to reach homes and residential areas throughout the country. Up to now, True has recycled over 1.99 million electronic devices in accordance with international standards and has set up more than 400 e-waste collection points across Thailand, with additional growth expected.
