The Ukrainian president stated that the assault mainly focused on the nation’s power grid and “virtually all of the infrastructure essential for everyday living.”
Zelenskyy stated that the attacks, which occur as representatives from Ukraine and Russia hold individual meetings with American mediators for peace negotiations, convey “an extremely clear message regarding Russia’s main concerns.”
“A strike occurring before Christmas, a time when people only wish to be with their families, at home, and secure. An attack that took place largely during ongoing talks intended to conclude this conflict,” Zelenskyy stated.
