Abdulganiyu mentioned that the program, which involved a two-day training session for students, highlights FCC Ibadan’s dedication to digital skills and accessibility.

Nevertheless, the provost emphasized the institution’s steadfast dedication to ongoing staff training as a key factor in institutional progress, improved operational effectiveness, and public sector responsibility.

This professional development seminar focuses on improving moral abilities and technological proficiency to attain long-term outstanding performance in school leadership.

As part of its overall digital transformation strategy, FCC Ibadan is promoting institutional digitization by implementing TEERPS and Microsoft 365 Education.

TEERPS, a comprehensive management platform for higher education institutions, is being implemented to simplify student records, academic administration, staff information, and financial activities. The system consolidates institutional data, minimizes manual tasks, and improves transparency, responsibility, and data-driven decision-making.

The implementation of both platforms corresponds to FCC Ibadan’s broader digital transformation initiative, which involves enhancing the College’s website and portals, automating processes, and increasing institutional effectiveness, establishing the college as a progressive federal tertiary institution dedicated to innovation, efficiency, and quality in cooperative education.

Alongside TEERPS, Microsoft 365 Education is being used to enhance digital teaching, learning, and collaboration between faculty and students. The cloud-based platform offers secure access to applications like Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, and OneDrive, supporting instant communication, hybrid learning, and remote teamwork.

Outside of the training program, the College is intentionally implementing an extensive digital process system for both institutional management and student support, encompassing all areas of its operations, both currently and in the future.

This initiative focused on digital transformation covers essential areas including the College website, academic and administrative portals, hostel accommodation management, departments, and operational units, aiming to enhance efficiency and transparency.

The program follows a step-by-step and long-term approach based on creativity and proven methods.

To accomplish this, FCC Ibadan is collaborating closely with experienced technical experts and partners, Prof. S. Olayinka and Prof. Wilson Nwankwo, who are spearheading the digital training and integration process for faculty members, non-academic staff, and students.

“The three-part workshop program is carefully created to develop the necessary skills, expand digital perspectives, and thoroughly introduce all involved parties to the new technology systems, ensuring their successful implementation and continued use throughout the College,” he stated.

Participants, in their individual comments, characterized the capacity-building series as timely, effective, and

forward-thinking, highlighting that it also strengthens FCC Ibadan’s commitment to fostering professional excellence, upholding ethical principles, embracing digital innovation, and enhancing institutional service delivery.
