As per a statement released by Iran’s national broadcaster IRIB, Iran also struck Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain during the night.

US embassy in Saudi Arabia targeted by drones

Saudi Arabia stated that the US embassy in the capital, Riyadh, was targeted by two drones.

The incident caused a small fire and some physical damage, stated Saudi Arabia’s Defense Ministry in an Arabic post on X early Tuesday morning.

News outlets quoted eyewitnesses who reported a powerful explosion and visible smoke emanating from the embassy.

The embassy issued a “stay indoors” alert on Tuesday morning for American citizens in Riyadh, as well as for the western port city of Jeddah and the eastern city of Dhahran.

It is advised that American citizens “stay away from the Embassy until further notice following the attack on the building.”
