I’m A CelebritySouth Africa star Seann Walshhas spoken out about camp ‘villain’David Haye– and maintained that there is ‘no conflict’ among the celebrities.

The 40-year-old comedian was the first to be eliminated from this year’s All Stars competition, as selected by Harry Redknapp.

Following these events last night, Seann joined Friday’s episode of This Morning to discuss his experiences during the camp.

In contrast to the Australia-based series, the South Africa version was recorded in advance in September 2025.

Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Learyquestioned the former campmate about retired boxer David Haye.

It follows David, 45, making contentious comments about his girlfriend Sian – and also coming into conflict with the actor from Waterloo RoadAdam Thomas.

In the first episode, he also notably sent Coronation Street icon Beverley Callard to the less desirable Savannah Scrub camp.

Seann commented about his former costar: “David Haye, I believe at times he lost sight of the fact that he was part of one of the most prominent TV series.”

He believed he was part of a WhatsApp conversation with his close friends.

Seann said, “But no, everyone got along while I was there.”

Just prior to the comedian’s exit, Harry Redknapp and Jimmy Bullard arrived as last-minute participants.

The duo were dubbed ‘Kings’ and appointed as leaders of opposing teams — the Lions and Rhinos respectively.

Harry chose Ashley Roberts, David Haye, Sir Mo Farah, Scarlett Moffatt, and Seann Walsh to be part of the Lions.

Even though they eventually lost the confrontation, Harry had to choose one of his own team members to leave the camp permanently—and chose Seann.

Confirming there was no ill feeling, Seann stated: ‘It was hard for Harry, he had to let one of us go.’

At an event held after the episode’s debut, Harry mentioned, as reported by The Mirror: ‘There was a comedian named Seann Walsh. A good person.’

Harry then went on to describe how Seann had informed him that the show was “great for his profile” and he was hoping to perform well in the series by staying for a long time on the ITV format.

However, Harry was assigned the responsibility of sending one of his fellow actors home, after initially trying to select himself, only to be informed that, as ‘King,’ he needed to choose from among his ‘subjects.’

Harry continued, acknowledging he had spent a considerable amount of time considering his choice: “I arrive at camp and I feel awful, and by the time I get there, I have to inform them who I’m sending back.”

So I’m not going to send David Haye home, he could knock me out, and I’m getting along well with Mo Farah and the girl in the next bed is Ashley Roberts. A Pussycat Doll. I’m not sending her home!

She shows me how to practice yoga at 7 in the morning.

Harry added that he had been ‘dreading’ informing Seann about it, because of their previous discussion in which Seann expressed his desire to be present.

Nevertheless, in his anxiety, the football icon completely forgot Seann’s name – mistakenly calling him ‘Stewart’ instead.

The other roommates told him about the error, with Harry commenting on sending the comedian home: ‘He will dislike me’.

“I am hesitating and I said, ‘I’m sorry Stewart. I have to send you home,’ after that, they all said, ‘Harry, his name is Seann’… he will despise me,” Harry concluded.

Harry seemed to recognize the error later, as he was heard addressing Seann with the correct name—and apologized to him.

In the meantime, David Haye attempted to lift Harry’s spirits by stating, ‘I always believed it was Shane Walsh.’

Harry replied, “I believed it was Stewart, didn’t I? Did you catch that, my mind went blank. I lost track of the story.”

Additionally, Ant and Dec capitalized on the mistake for comedic effect during their segments.

The hosting pair humorously mentioned later that Seann’s hotel room was registered under the name ‘Stewart Walsh’ — and it had been reserved by Harry.

I’m A Celebrity… South Africa is broadcast on ITV1 and ITVX.
