An 82-year-old woman was discovered deceased following her disappearance two weeks ago along with her Dalmatian.Canada.
Diane Cooper was found dead in Saskatchewan around 7:40 pm on Saturday, according to a Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) representative.CBC News.
Her Dalmatian, Halo, was discovered alive.
Cooper was initially reported missing on April 6, together with her dog, following her departure from her residence in Edgemont.
She was last spotted at a gas station in Stettler, Alberta, refueling her grey Toyota around midnight on the night she vanished, as reported byCTV News.
In a post on FacebookOn Sunday, the RCMP in Alberta announced Cooper’s passing and extended their sympathies to her family and friends.
Zoe, Cooper’s granddaughter, also shared on Facebook during the afternoon on Sunday: ‘Our grandmother has unfortunately passed away.’
Although this wasn’t entirely surprising, we are completely devastated. By some miracle, our dog Halo has made it through.


We are extremely thankful to all those who assisted in the search, shared updates, and offered us compassion and encouragement during this very challenging period. It has been beyond words for us.
Officials did not find her passing unusual, as reported by CTV.
Following the discovery that an AirTag in her vehicle ceased to function, authorities initiated a search operation by mobilizing several units and aerial support.
Following the news of Cooper’s passing, numerous individuals turned to social media to express their sympathies to her family.
“I was genuinely hoping she would be found unharmed. I believe, in some sense, we all recognized our own grandmother or elderly family member in her,” said a user.
I extend my deepest sympathy to her family. I’m sending them strength and solace during this extremely challenging period. It’s difficult to comprehend the significance of such a loss, but I hope they can discover some measure of tranquility in knowing that, ultimately, her whole province was thinking of her, uttering her name, and keeping her in their prayers.


“I’ve been keeping up since the start and was hoping for a different result, truly hoping it was due to natural reasons, my condolences to the family, and I’m very relieved her puppy was with her, so she wasn’t alone,” another person said.
“I’ve been following this story from the start. I really hoped they would find her and her dog safely,” a third person wrote.
