The cost of gold fell in the local market on Tuesday, with 24 karat gold per tola dropping by Rs1,000 to reach Rs500,162, down from Rs501,162 on the previous trading day, as reported by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. Likewise, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold dropped by Rs857 to Rs428,808 from Rs429,665, while 10 grams of 22 karat gold decreased by Rs785 to Rs393,088 from Rs393,873. In the global market, the price of gold fell by $10 to $4,778 per ounce from $4,788. At the same time, the price of silver per tola went down by Rs59 to Rs8,358 from Rs8,417, and the price of 10 grams of silver also decreased by Rs51 to Rs7,165 from Rs7,216.
