At least 15 individuals were hospitalized following a reported boat explosion at a Miami beach on Saturday.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived at Haulover Beach on Saturday at approximately 1 p.m. following a report of a possible boat explosion.
The blast is said to have occurred close to the sandbar, theMiami Herald reported.
When they arrived, firefighters upgraded the incident to a Level 2 Mass Casualty Event, with over 25 units responding.CBS News reported.
It remains unclear whether there are any deaths or what might have led to the possible explosion.
Emergency responders remain on site. Officials have yet to verify whether a boat detonated.
