Pakistan, May 10 — German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated that Europe aims to maintain NATO’s strength and effectiveness despite political disagreements with the United States. He emphasized that the alliance continues to be crucial for European and global security.

In his remarks, Merz admitted there are disagreements with Washington regarding the Iran issue. Nevertheless, he emphasized that these differences should not undermine the NATO alliance, which both parties still depend on for mutual defense.
