• Issued 189 Covid waivers without evaluating individuals
  • Contrasted Medical Board with ‘corporate propaganda’
  • Prohibited five years following a suspension in 2021

A physician from the Victorian era who provided Covid vaccine exemptions to almost 200 patients without examining any of them has beenprohibited from practicing medicine for a minimum of five years.

Dr. Denes Borsos provided 189 vaccination exemptions and 122 face mask exemptions within three days throughout the pandemic—without performing a single valid clinical evaluation.

He labeled the vaccine as an “experimental bioweapon” and referenced a tennis starNovak Djokovicas proof of the risks involved in expressing opinions, following the Grand Slam champion’s expulsion from Australia due to his position on Covid.

He also asserted – without any supporting evidence – thatShane Warnepassed away because he believed the claim that it was safe and effective.

He informed the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal that the Medical Board of Australia was “wrong, cruel, and arrogant,” and alleged that it was “stretching the law like bubble gum.”

He declined to participate in the hearing and stated, “My career and business have already been ruined to a degree that the tribunal cannot fix.”

The GP also referred 196 patients to a cardiologist whose name he never provided, and did not check if any of them actually required the consultation.

He submitted 84 consultations to Medicare under the category of mental health visits, even though each session was below the necessary 20-minute threshold.

The tribunal discovered that clinical records for over 200 patients were ‘identical, nearly identical, or extremely brief.’ In eight instances, he provided no notes whatsoever.

A three-person committee determined that Dr. Borsos replaced his personal opinions with his professional duties and displayed no regret during the four-year legal process.

Instead of acknowledging the results, he utilized his written statements to challenge conventional vaccine research and likened the Medical Board to ‘corporate advertising’.

In a last written statement in April, he informed the tribunal that he had stopped fighting.

“Please continue in my absence as my career and business have already been ruined to a degree that the tribunal cannot fix,” he wrote.

The tribunal was unmoved.

It concluded that Dr Borsos prioritized his own personal beliefs and values over the professional standards that all physicians are expected to adhere to.

His behavior was “not characterized by mistakes or shortcomings in practice, but rather by intentional choices to deviate from clinical and ethical guidelines.”

By granting exemptions without medical reason during a worldwide health crisis, the panel concluded that Dr. Borsos put his patients and others in danger.

Health inspectors who toured his Elliminyt clinic in Colac, Victoria, during October 2021 discovered that he had not put up the necessary signs, established a COVIDSafe strategy, or utilized the official QR code check-in system. He received an $1,817 penalty notice.

The Medical Board suspended Dr. Borsos in November 2021. For over four years, he has been unable to practice as his case progressed through the system.

The tribunal imposed a five-year restriction on his eligibility for reinstatement — one year shorter than what the Medical Board had requested — considering his extended period of suspension.

He has now received an official warning, lost his registration, and is prohibited from offering any healthcare services until at least 2031.
