Supporters of the All Progressives Congress in Borno State gathered in significant numbers on Saturday to strongly back President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the party’s presidential primary election held in all 312 wards of the state.

From the Maiduguri city to distant inland communities, eager party supporters stood in line behind President Tinubu’s picture during the direct primary process, showing robust unity and backing for his campaign before the 2027 national elections.

In Mafa Ward, Babagana Umara Zulum received 2,175 votes, indicating 100 percent backing for President Tinubu in his voting area.

In the same way, the APC gubernatorial candidate, Engr. Mustafa Gubio, took part in the event at Gubio 1 Ward in Gubio Local Government Area, where he received 5,980 votes for the President.

Following the exercise, Gubio praised the residents for the remarkable attendance and promised ongoing efforts to mobilize people before the general elections.

“You have witnessed how individuals have responded. The participation has been significant. Therefore, I would like to express my gratitude to the residents of Gubio who traveled from distant places to their respective constituencies to vote for Mr. President,” Gubio stated.

“And Insha Allah, we will keep encouraging people to recognize that in the main election, residents of Gubio will cast their votes in large numbers for the President, the Vice President, and also in other elections,” he added.

Engineer Gubio also pledged to Governor Zulum that the Gubio Local Government would provide a strong vote base for the APC in the upcoming elections.

Throughout the state, National Assembly members similarly allocated their individual constituencies and local government areas to President Tinubu in the process.

The presidential primary election took place without incident, with significant participation from party supporters in Biu, Askira/Uba, Malam Fatori, Monguno, Nganzai, Maiduguri metropolis, Jere, Kwaya Kusar, and other local government areas throughout the state.
