A grain storage facility at a feed production plant in Incheon experienced an explosion, leading to the loss of 10 tons of corn that was kept inside.
As reported by the Incheon Fire Department on the 1st, the explosion took place approximately at 7:51 a.m. the day before at a corn storage tank located within a feed production facility in Sinheung-dong, Jung-gu.
No injuries were reported in the incident, although around 10 tons of corn stored in the tank were lost. It was verified that the explosion did not lead to a fire.
Security forces sent 22 pieces of gear and 53 staff members, such as fire fighters, and finished safety procedures approximately 9:41 a.m. on the same day.
Law enforcement and emergency services are examining the specific reason behind the incident, believing that a chemical element within the storage tank could have led to the explosion.
