The announcement by the parent company of Google occurs on the same day that Anthropic revealed it had secretly submitted documents for an initial public offering.
Alphabet, the parent company of Google, announced on Monday that it intends to issue $80 billion (€93 billion) in shares to finance a significant growth in its artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure.
The news arrives as Anthropic, the company behind the Claude chatbot, announced that it has submitted a confidential application for an initial public offering. OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT, is also anticipated to seek a public listing.
In the meantime, Elon Musk mentioned that SpaceX, which combined with his xAI company in February, is preparing one of the largest stock offerings in history and might start presenting the deal to investors as early as this week.
This is an ongoing situation, more information to come.
