On the 2nd, President Lee Jae Myung said, “Deliberate dissemination of false information that leads to social unrest and economic harm should be fully examined, and those involved should face strict consequences.”

The leader posted a piece on X (previously known as Twitter) about the police determining the identities of 10 individuals suspected of spreading false information stating that ‘the government would force the sale of dollars.’ He commented on this in relation to the article.

President Lee stated, “Disseminating misleading information that damages the public interest is not protected under freedom of speech and should not be accepted.”

He added, “A joke or trick? Destroying lives and disrupting a community’s harmony and principles are grave offenses that require strict consequences, similar to when such actions are carried out under the pretense of fun.”

President Lee then wrote, “I should deliver a pizza to the police investigation team that’s working diligently (열일), shouldn’t I?”

He subsequently published an article showcasing the accomplishments of the government’s drug response efforts throughout the past year since the current administration came into power. In the piece, he mentioned, “Drug users, we have stationed drug enforcement officers at all major domestic postal centers to combat drugs, a societal issue. We are also setting up drug detection devices. If you buy drugs through the mail, you will be identified and penalized.”

He stated, “I hope you pursue medical help promptly rather than wasting funds and ultimately facing jail.”
