An OklahomaThe father remained calm after a man called the police on him for taking his two young daughters into a ladies’ restroom.

Tyler Brodsky arrived at a QuikTrip inAlabamawhile returning to Oklahoma fromFloridaduring the weekend, he was approached by a stranger.

Brodsky mentioned in a recently popular post to hisTikTokthat he chose to bring his girls into the women’s restroom, which was vacant, instead of the ‘dirty’ men’s room.

That was when Brodsky mentioned the man entered “boisterously” into the restroom and ordered them to use the men’s room, which led Brodsky to begin recording.

The man, who was speaking to the police on the phone, said: ‘TA man is with his two young daughters in the women’s restroom, currently washing his hands alongside his daughter.

Brodsky’s daughter began to weep as the man shouted, with his voice audible saying, “He is taking his own time.”

The man mentioned that his wife and her “severely-ill” mother-in-law were waiting to use the restroom while he was still on the phone.

A female QuikTrip employee intervened, shutting the door on the man and assisting the two girls in drying their hands before they left the restroom.

There you are, dear,” she said as she gave the two paper towels and then added to Brodsky: “I’m truly sorry.

Brodsky kept recording the man following his exit from the bathroom, as the two individuals engaged in a conversation outside.

The man is heard explaining to the police what Brodsky was dressed in, then continues: ‘He’s outside now, defending his actions.’

In a subsequent video following the widespread popularity of his initial footage, Brodsky mentioned that three police officers arrived at the QuikTrip and informed him that he had not committed any wrongdoing.

They arrived promptly, conducted themselves in a highly professional manner, were very courteous, and swiftly calmed the situation down.

One of the officers was speaking to me and the man, and mentioned that taking two young girls into the men’s restroom might be seen in a similar negative light as my being in the women’s restroom with my daughters.

Eventually, there was truly nothing they could do; they informed me that I was fine and that I hadn’t done anything wrong.

He also expressed his gratitude to the QuikTrip employee, whom he referred to only as Melissa, stating, “We truly value the support and kindness you provided us.”

Being in that situation with them, we truly needed it. It’s always beneficial to have someone supporting you.

Brodsky mentioned that the officers spoke with Melissa prior to requesting the man to exit the store.

He mentioned that following the police speaking with everyone, his two daughters received slushies from QuikTrip employees before resuming their journey.

Brodsky concluded his video by stating that the reaction to it revealed he wasn’t the only one who had experienced something comparable.

“This is not about a single debate at a gas station. It’s regarding the reality that parents frequently find themselves in uncomfortable circumstances. We are merely attempting to look after our children and ensure their safety,” he stated.

I hope the person who committed this will see this video and understand that his actions were incorrect and refrain from doing it to anyone else.

The incident sparked intense online debates about whether men should be permitted in women’s restrooms with their daughters, or women in men’s restrooms with their sons.

A person left a comment under the original video: “As a father of a daughter, I have done exactly the same as you.”

Happy for you for staying calm and ensuring your daughters are safe. You’re an excellent father, teaching them how to deal with the situation in a constructive way.

Another addition: “Mom is here – you’re always welcome. Keep them safe!”
