Earlier this month, Dragons’ Den star Touker Suleyman announced he was ‘retiring’ after 10 yearsin the den, to the surprise of the audience.

In his statement about retiring, Touker mentioned that ‘all major organizations need to change’ and that it’s the right moment for ‘fresh talent’ to occupy his position in the den.

It appears that his departure from TV doesn’t signify he’s retiring from business entirely, as he has now explained that he intends to concentrate on his own brands.

‘Hello everyone,’ he started in a new video shared on hissocial mediaaccount. ‘You’ve likely heard that I’m retiring.’

I’m not leaving the business, but I am stepping away from the den. The first thing I want to do is express my gratitude for all the kind and heartfelt messages you’ve sent me.

The 72-year-old celebrity continued by expressing gratitude to theBBC, describing it as a ‘true privilege and honor’ to have been involved with the show for a decade.

He expressed his gratitude to his fellow Dragons – currently consisting ofPeter Jones, Deborah Meaden and Steven Bartlett, along with special guests – as well as the business owners.

It’s a journey,” Touker added, “The most crucial thing I want to express is that this isn’t the end of the path for me.

Many new and thrilling developments; I will now concentrate more on my current businesses. Additionally, there are a few new ventures coming up.

The major company is most recognized for owning the British men’s fashion brand, Hawes & Curtis, and became part of the Den in Series 13.

In addition to Hawes & Curtis, Touker manages the fashion label Ghost and Marks & Spencer through his holding company, Low Profile Group.

He teased, “The most thrilling one for me. I hold the intellectual property of a brand named Lipstick. You could ask, ‘What is Lipstick?’ It’s exactly what it claims to be.”

I’m introducing a lipstick brand in September that brings together the finest offerings from all lipstick brands under one umbrella.

In addition to his makeup project, Touker is planning to launch apodcastto more effectively connect with young entrepreneurs and startups, whom he aims to guide.

“I believe the UK has many outstanding entrepreneurs, and I aim to support them in their endeavors so they avoid the errors I have made in the past,” he stated.

Wrapping up the video, Touker quipped that despite being nearly 73, he’s ‘not finished yet’.
