Mary Trump claims that the image of Donald Trump seen struggling at the G7 summit is not an isolated incident, but rather a sign of his ongoing path, stating in a recent discussion that her uncle is experiencing a significant psychological decline that he can no longer hide.

Speaking to writer and journalist Steven Beschloss on hernewsletter, the clinical psychologist and niece of the president responded to Beschloss’s account of Trump looking “overweight and moving around in a confused state” at the summit. She did not challenge this. “I believe this is where things are moving,” she stated, acknowledging that he might still have periods of clear thinking but maintaining that “he is psychically spiraling downward.”

Her main point is that the decline has become so significant that it cannot be ignored. Trump is experiencing “ongoing narcissistic wounds,” she mentioned, and “nothing scares Donald more than being embarrassed.” According to her, the problem for him is that he is his own most damaging adversary in this regard. “No one is better at humiliating Donald than Donald himself,” she stated.

Mary Trump linked the G7 event to the extravagant, taxpayer-funded UFC event Trump organized at the White House just days before, which she estimated cost $60 million. She claimed that everything he does now is aimed at “protecting his fragile ego” and filling what she has consistently referred to as “the void of need inside him.” The morning following the event, she noted, he realized the familiar truth that none of it had made a difference. “He remains an empty, unloved man, and sustaining that illusion has become psychologically draining.”

She viewed that fatigue as the crucial factor in explaining why the flaws are now becoming visible. Maintaining the act of being strong, she mentioned, is conflicting with what she referred to as his “cognitive, emotional, physical, and psychological deterioration,” and this mix is “becoming difficult to conceal.”

The drop she claims she has observed for years, according to her version, is now something his team can no longer prevent from being captured on camera.
