HGTV is taking a nostalgic trip as the network has revealed a new home renovation competition show that highlights a collection of ’90s celebrities.

The new program, featuring actor Jaleel White from Family Matters, is called Totally ’90s House and will debut on August 26.

It will showcase two teams filled with ’90s celebrities, as they are challenged to completely renovate and update a house constructed during that era.

The ultimate objective is to provide these properties trapped in the ’90s with a fresh and contemporary appearance.

Brian Austin Green, known for his role in 90210, Beverly Mitchell from 7th Heaven, and Jodie Sweetin, who appeared in Full House, will face off against Melissa Joan Hart of Sabrina the Teenage Witch fame, and Boy Meets World’sMatthew Lawrenceand Keisha Knight Pulliam from The Cosby Show.

The ‘fits are making a comeback, the playlists are playing on loop, and children who hadn’t been born yet are watching the shows that we popularized.

But although certain elements from the ’90s remain classic… some of you never received the message that the decade has passed.

It’s time for the ultimate nostalgic makeover. Prepare for the largest ’90s house showdown of all time.

Both teams will get guidance on design from renowned lifestyle expert Carter Oosterhouse, along with interior designer Sabrina Soto.

The debut episode will feature both teams journeying across the nation to find the ideal ’90s-style house to restore, as they update each room step by step.

Although a number of celebrities such as Drew Lachey and Paige Davis will evaluate specific rooms in the house, the final winners will be announced by renowned designer Jonathan Adler.

The victorious team will receive $25,000, which they will contribute to the charity of their preference.

The latest series will debut live on HGTV and will be accessible for streaming the following day on HBO Max.

It was reported that HGTV removed several popular shows last year.

The programs that were canceled included Bargain Block, Izzy Does It, The Flipping El Moussas, and Married to Real Estate.

Alternatively, they revealed several new programs and additional seasons of popular cult favorites, including Love It or List It and a new offshoot of Property Brothers.

HGTV also announced at the time that an actress, comedian, and home design enthusiastRetta will pursue her journey in six new episodesof the mega-hit “Ugliest House in America,” which is scheduled to debut at the end of July.

The show, which drew 12.2 million viewers through traditional TV and streaming platforms last season, will showcase Retta’s candid opinions as she explores 15 additional homes featuring surprisingly poor designs, embarrassing floor plans, and extremely outdated aesthetics.

This season features Retta’s 100th horrifying house tour, starting in the Great Plains, where she will visit an off-the-grid eclectic home, a man-made metal abomination, and a Rocky Mountain residence located at 7,100 feet that is plagued by mysterious light switches.
