A car flipped over in an accident triggered by a driver who was heavily intoxicated at the entrance of Banpo Bridge in Seoul, causing a temporary disruption in traffic in the vicinity.

The Yongsan Police Station reported on the 17th that a female driver, Ms. A, was caught at the scene on the 16th around 11 p.m. for breaking the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving) following an accident at the northern entrance of Banpo Bridge.

The incident caused the temporary shutdown of the Banpo Bridge entrance for recovery operations after Ms. A’s car flipped over. There were no passengers inside the vehicle, and no injuries were reported.

As per the police inquiry, Ms. A’s blood alcohol level was found to be high enough to justify revoking her driving license. The authorities are still looking into the specifics of the incident.
