A young boy has been commended for his ‘Spider-Man’ abilities following his courageous climb up a high-rise apartment building to save a trapped puppy.NSW‘s Central Coast. 

Kyden, 12, hurried to rescue the dog on Monday morning when it was balanced on the edge of the newly constructed building after slipping out through a balcony of an apartment.

In shocking video captured by the Daily Mail, Kyden stood on a narrow edge while moving toward the anxious dog, holding onto the second-floor balcony railing for stability.

“I believe Kyden was slightly anxious, but he didn’t want the puppy to get hurt, which made it simpler for him to leap in and assist,” said his proud mother Melinda to the Daily Mail.

The unfortunate puppy was upset and moving along the edge.

The puppy was clearly watchful and barking at my son initially, so he sat down and slowly approached until the dog finally allowed him to take it.

Kyden returned the dog securely to its enclosure and blocked off the opening to prevent it from leaping back over.

Melinda mentioned that the family, who reside just a short distance away, quickly came to assist after seeing an image of the trapped dog on a local Facebook group.

Although Melinda is unaware of the dog’s owners, she learned that they returned home approximately an hour later and were thrilled to find their puppy safe and inside.

“We haven’t received any updates from the owners, but we’ve received many heartfelt comments about his bravery,” she said.

It’s undoubtedly a ‘proud mom’ moment.

Kyden’s bravery was praised on social media, with numerous people commending the child for his ‘Spider-Man-like’ skill in climbing the structure.

One individual remarked, ‘Your young Spider-Man saved the day.’

Another remarked: “Wow, courageous. My dogs are like my children, and I would be extremely thankful if a brave individual saved my beloved dog.”

A third individual remarked: “What a wonderful young boy with such a compassionate heart.”

Although several comments expressed gratitude to Kyden for his courage, some raised concerns about the owners’ accountability for letting the dog on the balcony.

“Perhaps every animal in the units should be prevented from accessing the balcony unless under supervision,” someone questioned.

Another person stated: “Individuals should really not keep dogs in apartments; it’s inhumane. Particularly if they are leaving them on a small balcony.”
