The wife of a military personnel who was recently killed during the conflict in Iran was unable to speak when questioned about the Trump administration’s reaction.

During an interview with CNN host Erin Burnett,Mia Gonzalez-Swintontalked about her husband, late Sgt.Michael Emmanuel Swinton, who was one of four U.S. personnel killed over the weekend in the continuing confrontation with Iran. Swinton died in Iraq, and his namevanishedFrom the Department of Defense casualty list, Burnett observed.

Gonzalez-Swinton delivered an emotional interview with Burnett, in which she referred to her late husband as “goofy” and a father to a young daughter. Burnett inquired about the Trump administration’s decision to remove her husband’s name, along with three others, from the list of casualties.

Mia, there’s something that occurred this week that we’re not entirely sure about,” Burnett stated. “The Pentagon, as you know, has removed Michael and the three other soldiers who also passed away over the weekend from the official tally of military personnel and troops who have died in the conflict.

Burnett stated that the Pentagon described the removal as “a mistake.”

She inquired of Gonzalez-Swinton, “Has anyone discussed this with you or shared any information regarding it?”

A silence settled as Gonzalez-Swinton seemed to gather her thoughts and alter her expression. After a few seconds, she spoke slowly, “No one has contacted us yet.”

Gonzalez-Swinton paused briefly once more as if deep in thought, and her expression shifted again to one of astonishment.

Amazing,” she went on. “I really don’t have the right words for that.

Burnett also appeared to have difficulty, replying, “I can imagine.” Gonzalez-Swinton began crying as the interview concluded.
