A group of three individuals have received prison sentences following a surprising daytime theft at a jewelry store located in a wealthy neighborhood.London.

Two individuals wearing masks were filmed using a sledgehammer to break the window of Gregory & Co in the affluent area of Richmond in January.

They stole £225,000 in diamond and gold jewelry from the display before fleeing toward Richmond Green while frightened visitors and residents watched.

The jewelry store is just two doors away from the location of Richmond AFC’s manager’s apartment on theApple show which features a USa trainer overseeing a soccer team in England.

The apartment was also robbed approximately a year ago, and residents have mentioned that they are worried the show has drawn attention to the affluent area, making it a target for thieves.

Deniz Mehmet, 28, from Basildon, received a five-year prison sentence following his guilty plea to conspiracy to rob a family jeweller at Kingston Crown Court this month.

Robert Clarke, 50, from Rochford received a sentence of six years and six months, while Lee Ramsey, 46, from Harlow was sentenced to five years and three months, both for the same crime.

The group was apprehended following a review of surveillance video, the execution of forensic examination, and the recovery of a car thought to be associated with the theft.

Detective Superintendent Dan Mitchell, of the Met’s Flying Squad, stated: ‘Such robberies create genuine worry for residents and businesses in the affected areas. It is these individuals who experience the direct consequences.’

Eyewitness Amy Hilton, 26, saidof the chaos following the breakfast-time attack on the jeweler located near Richmond Green, where celebrities and international business tycoons reside.

An airline employee stated, “I was in a café nearby. I heard a loud noise and then looked up to see two men breaking the window. It was very alarming because there were people walking around and everyone was frightened. Locals have mentioned it might be due to the Ted Lasso show, which has made this area more noticeable. It was truly terrifying.”

Karen Lewis, 65, a local resident, mentioned that the filming of Ted Lasso has revealed the area near Richmond Green as an easy target for burglars.

She stated, “The filming has drawn unwanted focus to the region. There have been more break-ins near the green since thieves are aware that some homes are unoccupied. Occasionally, people reside overseas for part of the year. On the day of the theft, I could have been passing by and gotten caught in the situation. It’s all very unsettling.”
