Pakistan, Sept. 22 — Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday paid tribute to the security forces for their successful operations against terrorists in Kohat, Hangu, Thall and areas along the Afghanistan border.

In a statement, he termed the killing of 37 terrorists during the operations as a significant achievement of the security forces. Bilawal Bhutto paid tribute to the brave officers and personnel of the security forces engaged in the fight against terrorism.

He said protection of the lives and property of citizens was the foremost responsibility of the state, adding that effective action against terrorism was essential for maintaining peace and ensuring public safety. “Pakistan desires peace, but the desire for peace cannot come at the cost of the safety and security of its citizens,” he said.

He said elimination of terrorism, effective border management and responsible regional cooperation were essential for achieving lasting peace in the region. Bilawal Bhutto called for further strengthening the national resolve to rid the country of terrorism and reiterated the importance of protecting citizens from terrorist threats.
