Eastar Jet is discounting international flight fares for customers aged 60 years and older and introducing a text enlargement feature on its website, among other measures, to target the ‘active senior’ demographic. The airline aims to attract seniors who actively enjoy travel and leisure while prioritizing affordability and practicality.

Eastar Jet announced on the 29th that it is launching the “Travel, Becoming Easier for Everyone” campaign to enhance travel convenience for senior customers. According to the airline, passengers aged 50 and above accounted for 20.3% of all Eastar Jet travelers in the first half of this year, representing approximately one out of five passengers. Among them, those aged 60 and above made up 8.9%.

First, Eastar Jet has added a “Large Text View” feature to its website. By using the screen magnification function in the top-right corner of the homepage, users can adjust text size in stages. The airline also provides an “Easy Guide,” a step-by-step manual written in simple terms to assist customers unfamiliar with booking flights or navigating airports.

The Easy Guide simplifies aviation terminology—for example, explaining “checked baggage” as “luggage to be checked” and “boarding gate” as “the door to board the plane.” It also guides users through the entire travel process, from accessing the website and searching for, reserving, and paying for tickets to procedures after arriving at the airport, including check-in, baggage drop-off, security screening, and boarding gate navigation.

Price benefits are also offered. Eastar Jet website members aged 60 years and older can receive up to a 10% discount on international flight fares. The promotion runs from 10 a.m. on the 29th to December 31. Eastar Jet stated, “We will lower barriers to LCC usage for senior customers and expand touchpoints.”
