Iniedu said additional police personnel and operational resources had been deployed to reinforce the ongoing efforts to trace the victims and secure their safe release.

Nadada arrived in Imo State with two Commissioners of Police and immediately embarked on an assessment of the incident as well as the rescue measures already being implemented by the state command.

The DIG also examined the operational strategies adopted so far, including the deployment of personnel and other security assets, before issuing fresh directives aimed at improving coordination among the various teams involved in the operation.

The assessment involved the Imo State Commissioner of Police, CP Audu Garba Bosso; the Commissioner of Police, Federal Operations, CP Akpan Anifiok; the Commissioner of Police in charge of the Police Mobile Force; other security commanders and members of the management team of the Imo State Police Command.

According to the Force, tactical teams and additional operational assets have been moved into identified locations as part of efforts to locate the abductees and track their captors.

The Police said intelligence-driven operations were also being intensified, while collaboration with other security agencies had been strengthened to facilitate the rescue of the victims and the arrest of those behind the attack.

Nadada assured Nigerians that the Nigeria Police Force would maintain the operation until the abducted persons are safely recovered.

He also called on residents and other members of the public to remain calm and vigilant, urging anyone with useful information that could aid the rescue operation to promptly contact the Police or the nearest security formation.

The Force further assured members of the public that all information supplied to security authorities would be handled with strict confidentiality.

The Police said it would continue to provide updates on the operation as developments unfold.
