Chinese President Xi Jinping welcomes leaders from Germany and Switzerland in Beijing, while gearing up for potential encounters with US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin during the Apec summit held in Shenzhen.

In October, Chinese President Xi Jinping received four international visitors—two from Africa and two from Europe—amid the month’s focus on the Communist Party Central Committee’s fifth plenary session.
